Meet Mrs. Lang

Hi,   I’ve been teaching first grade at Palmer Way for 15 years. Previously I taught kindergarten at Olivewood and Harbison.  I began teaching in the National School District in 1980 as a Reading Specialist for intermediate grades.  I have also taught in Pittsburgh, PA for 6 years.  With all this experience, each new school year is still a unique experience and a very exciting time meeting new students.  I try to make learning fun and motivate students to want to learn.   I take pride in helping first graders learn to read.  What an inspiration watching my students read words on a page for the first time.  Parents are always welcome and encouraged to stop by any time.  What a wonderful job to wake up to every day!!

I have been married for 37 years to my husband Chuck.  We have 2 children who both graduated from college.  My daughter, Ashley is married, is a first grade teacher and has my beautiful grandson, Logan, who is 1 year old.  My son, Brandon,  is a CPA and works in Los Angeles.
