All About D-4

Parent Conferences  are coming soon  ( Jan. 19 to Jan. 27) so be watching for your conference time.  Be sure to return the confirmation or let me know if that is not a good time for you.  School will be ending at 1:05 from Jan. 19 to Jan. 27.

Congratulations to Alexa for being our  Good Citizen for the month of November.  She has shown great improvement in reading and math and is a good friend.

On Wednesday, Dec. 7 every child in K,1 and 2 got a free book from Kaiser when they presented their reading show, Jay and E and the Zig, Zag Sea.   Ask your child about the bad pirate and what they liked about the show.  We will be singing a song for the Holiday Show at Palmer Way on Dec. 16 at 1:30 for the parents.   Every child is asked to wear a Santa hat if you have one.  Hope to see you there if you can make it.

Congratulations to Troy for being our Good Citizen for the month of  October.  He is a good friend and tries his best.

Congratulations to Alyssa for being our Good Citizen for the month of  August and September.  She’s a great friend to all, always does her best and is showing great progress in all areas.

Congratulations to 10 students this month with perfect attendance and no tardies for the month of September.  They all received a shiny, sparkly new pencil.

A New School Year

Be sure to click on the HOMEWORK link at the top of this page to see what we’re working on and how you can help your child at home. READ!  READ!  READ!!This year all first graders will be reading often.  You can help your child by visiting the library after school any day and pick out several books.  The National School District website has a link that includes educational games and stories at Kids\’ Websites for Learning (scroll down to find Kid’s Websites).  Starfall is an excellent place for your child to practice their phonics skills. You can visit the National City Library website and check out the Children’s Services, Kid’s Page.  Tumblebook  is also a great place to read a book online. Any questions, you can call me a 336-8934.
